Joy Shearer

Hi! I'm Joy Shearer and I have been a part-time secretary here at Basore since May of 2009. Before that I was a stay-at-home mom after quitting a part time job at Elizabeth's New Life Center.

My husband, Grant, and I have been married since 2000 and we have 2 children. The oldest is Luke and he attends elementary school. The youngest is Emma and she will be starting pre-school soon. Our family began attending Basore Road GBC in 2006 and we all have been involved in many different ministries here.

I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and playing video games.

My favorite Bible verses are probably

• 1 Timothy 4:12 - "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
• Psalm 73:25-26 - "Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
