Ministry Description
-
Programs
We use internships to help workers develop the character, knowledge and skill needed foe effective urban ministry. We have two programs to satisfy this need, Summer Internships and church planting.
-
Purpose
Our purpose is to recruit, train, send and coach teams to plant churches in neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia.
Ministry Prayer Requests
- 1. Pastor Mark and Candi Ritzman of Crossroads Community Church are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their second child this month.
- 2. Comly Street Chapel, led by Mark Rowe, holds services each Monday night. Please pray for wisdom about developing a Sunday ministry to serve adults in the community.
- 3. Praise God for the gospel witness of the Brazilian Bible Church to those arriving in Philadelphia. The faltering economy has made an impact on the immigrant community. Please ask the Lord to provide all that is needed.
- 4. Praise the Lord that 5 small, growing congregations are reaching out to the urban neighborhoods of Philadelphia.
How YOU Can Be Involved
- Please pray for the removal of a large tree at our Frankford facility. It is old, unhealthy and close to the building. An estimate to remove the tree was close to $3,000. Do you know someone who could serve the Lord by cutting down a tree?
- Metrograce exists to recruit, train, ansend and coach church planting teams throughout Philadelphia. One of the ways you can become involved is to consider joining a short term mission team in Philadelphia.
- Please pray for the work that needs to be done on our Comly Street Chapel builing in Wissinoming. Some doors need to be replaced, a new gate is needed and some concrete work is necessary.
