Scripture Distributions; 80,500,000 Scripture Funds: $104,000,000 Worlwide New Members: 23,500
Purpose
The Gideons International serves as an extended missionary arm of the church: Our sole purpose is to win men, women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony, and distributing the Bible in the human traffic lanes and streams of everyday life.

Financial Support: More funds to supply more scriptures for the world.
The state of Ohio has a goal to purchase approximately 1.8 million scriptures for distribution this year. Pray for church services that will help raise the 2.5 million dollars required to reach this goal.
Continued open doors for scripture distribution, Hotels, Motels, Nursing Homes, etc.
An International scripture blitz has just been completed in the country of Chile. There has been no resistance to the distributions. Chileans were very friendly and welcomed the Gideons. Over 295,000 scriptures had been distributed by Sept 1st. Please pray that many souls will be saved and that Gideons will have safe returns to their various homes.
The Gideon Ministry has now been established in two new countries, Kosovo and Andorra, in southern Europe. Please pray for these Gideons as they begin their new works.
Pray for needed new Gideon members and scripture funds, so that scriptures can be purchased and distributed in the 190 countries where the Gideon ministry has been established.

Annually, the Gideon’s International is placing and distributing more than 63,000,000 Scriptures worldwide. To God be the glory! This averages one million copies of the Word of God placed every six days, or 120 per minute! Please pray that His word will not return void.
